If they could just use magic to retrieve the sword, then why bother with the quest at all? Shandra really isn’t a very good team player at all. I wouldn’t have suspected her of being like that.
She was trying to be nice. As she said, “I thought you’d be happy”. She just does not get that it’s the journey as much as the reward at the end. She just does not get it as this moment. It’s a learning experience, which for all kids at that age, everything is. The Fun for me is, It’s more REAL than a lot of other things in life.
I hate to say this, but she’s acting like such a girl. Even she realized in the past that boys think differently then girls such as when Gill asked which super hero would win in a fight. And she came back with Polly pocket vs. Dora the explorer. Gill of course had the answer.
Or it could be that she just wants to be the hero.
